Arwen has a diverse movement background including Contemporary Dance, Contact Improvisation, Yoga, Pilates, Jazz, Hip Hop, Chinese Contemporary Dance, Ballet, Shaolin Five Animal Kung Fu, and Capoeira. She received her MFA from the Department of Modern Dance at the University of Utah in 2005, focusing her research on Kung Fu choreography in film. She currently teaches Hot Yoga, Ashtanga yoga, Barre, and Pilates-based conditioning classes. Other movement explorations involve trail running, triathlon, cycling, and ultra-marathon training. Arwen has been a dancer for over 30 years, taught university-level dance majors in Utah and China for 7 years, taught yoga and other group fitness formats for 16 years, and continues to train for Half Ironman, and ultra trail running.
