Martha, peanut butter addict and child of the 80s, is a Stott Certified Pilates Instructor. She has had the opportunity to work with a wide range of demographics throughout the western United States. Most recently she moved to Utah from Los Angeles where she spent nearly a decade working in the fitness industry. While there, Martha trained celebrities and high profile clientele through Tracy Anderson Method and helped build out the Pilates program for Kim Lyons’ (trainer for America’s Biggest Loser) new studio and fitness equipment, Bionic Body.
After working with celebrities and the like, Martha shifted her focus to special populations, including rehabilitative, pre/post natal, and older individuals. Working with each of these groups has helped develop her range and challenge how she approaches her work. She believes that Pilates is for all the bodies and strives to live by that motto and share her work with others.
Ever the knowledge seeker, Martha dabbles in yoga, dance cardio, barre, and other fitness and somatic methods, broadening her approach to movement and health. She holds both a BA and MFA in dance, is dance faculty at Brigham Young University, and teaches Pilates in and around Salt Lake City where you might also find her dancing alongside her bohemian music playing husband or snuggling up to their pet rabbit, Peanut.
